Legal digital downloads became widely available with the debut of the iTunes Store in 2003.  Big name stores such as Wal-Mart or Amazon (online) sell the majority of physical recordings as a small part of their offer.

So today ISPs (or internet service providers) such as I-Tunes, i-mesh, music Oasis, Tune nabber, napster, Amazon keep electronic components suppliers busy with the growing demand for music downloads.  Mass piracy of music and tracks has led to the need for electronic components suppliers to develop decryption strategies.  They’ve also developed bit-perfect copying technique which doesn’t access any part of the “work” that has de-crypted content.
